Portland Approves Summer Waterfront Shows

Portland’s Maine State Pier will play venue to summer shows.

Portland City Council has allowed Bangor’s Waterfront Concerts to set-up three shows on the pier. With seating for 3,000 attendees, the pier isn’t able to accommodate the big name draws Bangor will see this summer. However, with Portland’s dense population and Waterfront Concerts big name booking ability, the pier could become a great tour destination.

June 12th country star Dierks Bentley hits the pier, followed by 3 Doors Down August 2nd and Reggae Fest August 10th.

The announcement of the three shows is uplifting after plans for an area outdoor venue fizzled out.
