Police have released the name of the woman who was killed when she was struck by a pickup truck in Lewiston Monday morning.

Lewiston police tell the Sun Journal 53-year-old Christine Beaulieu of Lewiston was struck by the truck at 6:35 a.m.

The accident occurred on Lisbon St., near the entrance to the Lewiston mall.

The driver of the pickup truck has been identified as 33-year-old Gaeton Bergeron of Lewiston.

Investigators say Beaulieu was not in the crosswalk when she was struck by the vehicle.

Police say the accident remains under investigation and it's too early to say whether or not charges will be filed.
