A lot of people are without power this morning as the result of a hit and run crash in Hancock County.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s department has the Jeep that crashed into a utility pole this morning on Route 3 in Trenton but they didn’t get the driver.

That person took off from the scene after the crash and Emera Maine has been on scene replacing the damaged utility pole. Power should be restored to portions of Bar Harbor, Trenton, Sullivan and Ellsworth by 9am.

Route 3 has been shutdown in the area to allow the power crews to work safely.
