Authorities have released the identity of a woman whose body was found in her burning car in Orrington on Sunday.

Authorities have confirmed that the woman was 38-year-old Robin Davis of Bucksport, according to WABI. The Toyota Corolla that was consumed by fire in the accident was registered to Davis, who was an employee of the McDonald's. on Broadway in Bangor. Her family says she was on her way to work when the accident happened. Robin leaves behind a young son, her parents, and a brother and sister.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident. A passerby found Davis's car in a stream, off the Swett's Pond Road at around 3 a,m. Sunday morning. By the time rescue crews arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. State Police blocked the section of road between Johnson Mill Road and Route 15 all morning as they investigated the crash.
