A pair of suspects have been arrested following a joint investigation into three Bangor area robberies on Nov. 25.

Shane Palmer and Kirk Dephilippo were arrested following an investigation by the Bangor Police Department and Maine State Police, Bangor police said in a Tuesday news release.

The first robbery, which was reported at 12:37 a.m., took place at 51 Lincoln Street, the release said. Police were told two masked individuals attempted to kick in the door, and then a resident brandished a lever-action rifle, causing the suspects to leave the property.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., residents of 156 Bolling Drive reported that two masked individuals made entry into their apartment and demanded money and drugs. One resident, armed with a taser, utilized physical force in order to get the individuals to leave the home. One of the suspects was able to steal a backpack prior to retreating and fleeing the area, the release said.

An hour and a half later, Maine State Police responded to the Dysart's restaurant and truck stop in Hermon. Police were told two masked individuals had entered the store and demanded money. The release said the suspects fled the scene with everything inside the cash register (approximately $500) and the cash register itself.

Both suspects were charged three counts of robbery.
