SPCA Of Hancock County Asks For Donations To Help Sick Animals
Not every dog or cat that ends up at the SPCA of Hancock County is a picture of health.
Just like human beings, animals have their problems as well, and just like you and I, they all deserve a chance to continue on and live a somewhat healthy life.
With that being said, the following is from Annie Chalmers of the SPCA of Hancock County, as she talks about the dog and two cats in this photo.
Annie says, "Oscar, Midnight Snack, and Honey are all animals within our care right now, that need more extensive medical care. Oscar has been with us for some time. He contracted a urinary tract infection and needs prescription food.
We are not actually sure what is wrong with Midnight Snack. She has something wrong with her intestines. We are working our tails off trying to figure out what’s wrong with her and how we can help.
Honey came to us with a mass that needed to be removed, and with further inspection, she needs a few teeth out as well.
Especially around this time, with Valentine's day just gone by, we are hoping that it might spark some compassion in our community to donate to the cause and help some animals in need. So they can get well, get recovered, and get into forever loving homes that they all deserve. We aren't sure about the cost of Oscar and Midnight Snack’s appointments and procedures, but we know that Honey’s surgeries will be between 1,700 and 2,200 dollars.
Please consider donating in honor of a loved one, to help our animals."
If you would like to donate towards one of their animals medical bills, then please call them at 207-667-8088, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or send them a Facebook message. Their mailing address is: SPCA of Hancock County, 141 Bar Harbor Road, Trenton, ME 04605
Our hearts go out to these brave cats who, despite everything, are still sweet, trusting, and loving.
