Apparently, no scary pandemic is going to keep the ghouls and goblins away from these Trunk or Treats.

Looks as though the annual Trunk or Treat at the Bangor Drive-In is a go for this year, as the event is now set for Saturday, October 24th.  This year they're calling it the "1st Annual Socially Distanced Trunk or Treat."

Let's hope that in 2021 there's not a 2nd annual one, and that things may be back to normal by then.

The Trunk or Treat is pretty much aimed at kids 12 years-old and under, and families are asked to have all of of the little demons decked out in custom, and to do the same thing to the trunk or hatch-back their vehicle. Both costumes and trunks will be judged by Drive-In staff members, and there are three categories; Creepiest, Movie Themed, and Most Creative Quarantine, which should turn out to be real interesting.

The gates open at 4 and the Trunk or Treating happens between 5 and 6.  Admission includes the event and the film of your choice that night. Everyone must wear a mask, and you can read about the other rules in the Bangor Drive-In Facebook post.

Meanwhile, the Downeast Family YMCA in Ellsworth will hold a safe Trunk or Treat event in the parking lot on Halloween, between 1 and 5 that afternoon. Everyone will be required to wear a mask and this event will also be "controlled entry,"  You must reserve a space for this one.  Details below.
