Police in Orono say a 27-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning after a school employee found him passed out drunk under a desk in the superintendent’s office.

Levi Ashley of Orono was arrested after the employee reported the incident around 5 a.m. He was charged with criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Ashley was taken to Penobscot County Jail and was bailed out by 2 p.m.

“An employee of the superintendent’s office arrived early at work and found a male inside her office, sleeping under her desk,” Orono Police Chief Josh Ewing told the Bangor Daily News. “When the male saw her, he left the office and went into another room.”

The employee left the building and called 911.

Police say Ashley was sleeping again when they arrived on the scene.
