Northern Light Finds a Way to Avoid the Bulky Vaccination Cards
Providing proof of vaccination for concerts or travel just got easier, if you got your shot with Northern Light Health.
I think everyone had the same thought when they got their COVID vaccination card. How am I going to carry this thing around? It's oddly-sized and doesn't fit easily into a wallet. I've never been one to carry a purse, so what do I do with it? Plus they told me, when I got my shot, to take care of it because I may need it in the future to prove that I've been immunized. (a prediction that became true pretty quickly) I went on Amazon and bought a plastic sleeve to protect it, but that just makes it even bulkier.
The folks at Northern Light Health put their heads together and came up with a solution. Anyone who got their COVID vaccinations through a Northern Light provider can now find their shot card online. The SMART Health Cards are available through Northern Light's patient portal website and app. The card shares limited information, so as not to share too much confidential stuff, but enough to provide the proof needed for things like travel plans or venue admittance.
The first thing I realized when I read this was how it's going to make concert season less of a hassle. It would be much easier to show my proof of vaccination on my phone than to find a way to fit that big shot card into my jeans pocket. Good job, Northern Light Health. Thanks for making our lives a little easier in the COVID age.
