Salemwood Elementary school has banned the day of love.

A letter from the principal has asked for kids to leave their cards and candy at home today. She says it's a case of cultural and language equality.

Still, some parents where outraged about the ban. Some even called the superintendent's office to complain. Because the ban isn't a citywide problem, there is nothing that can done about the ban.

No other schools in the area banned Valentines Day.
