A report of a man slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business on Hammond Street in Bangor led to the man's arrest and the seizure of 300 grams of Fentanyl.

Victor Arroyo, 50, of Tampa, Fla., and New Bedford, Mass., is charged with aggravated trafficking in Fentanyl.

Police found Arroyo inside his gold Kia SUV on May 29.

Officers recovered $8,000 cash on Arroyo and 150 grams of suspected Fentanyl in the vehicle, so an on-scene MDEA agent impounded the vehicle and applied for a search warrant for a more thorough search. When MDEA agents served the warrant, an additional 150 grams of Fentanyl was recovered, bringing the total to 300 grams.

Arroyo has a 2007 conviction in Florida for cocaine distribution, according to police. A judge set Arroyo’s bail at $40,000 and he remains at the Penobscot County Jail.
