There are a number of people who have sadly gone missing in Maine. The State Police have a list of 35 individuals who have disappeared since 1964.

Each name on this list represents a person whose disappearance has left a void in the lives of their families and communities. These cases remain unsolved, and the hope of finding answers still burns brightly for those left behind.

The Maine State Police's website states that the objective of the Maine State Police Major Crimes Units is to "locate these missing individuals and pursue justice against those who caused their disappearance or death through criminal means."

The Maine State Police often highlight some of these missing person cases on their Facebook page as another way to try and get any potential information or leads.

There have even been instances of a reward offered for any information that could lead to locating the missing person, discovering their remains, or identifying those responsible for their disappearance.
