Hermon’s Getting Ready For Family Fun At Next Weekend’s Summer Sizzler!
Things will heat up in Hermon next weekend, as the town gets ready to host its annual "Summer Sizzler" event.
Lindsey Ouellette, Recreation Director for the Town of Hermon, says careful planning, collaboration, and attention to detail have put this year's festivities together, ensuring that everyone who attends will have an engaging, entertaining, and memorable day.
"Last year, we welcomed an estimated 2,000 attendees, a significant achievement following the Covid hiatus. Our goal is to enhance and expand the event each year, making it even more exciting and inclusive for the community."
"Events like the Summer Sizzler helps foster community spirit, unity, and provides a chance to celebrate our town. "
"The festivities will begin with an exciting Slime Run for both adults and children, followed by a car show."
"At noon, expect a variety of activities such as vendor booths, kids' entertainment like inflatables, and a stage featuring interactive science experiments, music, and dance performances. "
"Several food trucks will be on-site throughout the day, with a free community BBQ hosted by Hermon Baptist Church at 4 pm. To top it off, the day will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display!"
All activities take place at the Patricia A Duran School on Saturday, August 17, kicking off at 8:30 AM with the slime run and ending after the fireworks that evening.
