A pedestrian in Waterville died after being struck by a pickup at a busy intersection on Wednesday.

Waterville, Maine, Woman Fatally Struck by a Pickup Truck

Kathleen Corridan, 74, of Waterville, was hit at approximately 4:38 p.m. on Wednesday.

It was dark outside at 4:38 Wednesday afternoon when Corridan was crossing Kennedy Memorial Drive, at the intersection with Brigham Street.

Maine Pedestrian Died After Being Hit By a Truck in Waterville

As she crossed the street, officials say she was hit by an oncoming GMC pickup truck.

Waterville Police say Ms. Corridan was wearing dark clothing.

She was flown to MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she died from her injuries.

WMTW-TV reports the driver of the pickup truck, a 60-year-old man from Norridgewock, was not hurt, and the police said Thursday he is not facing any charges.
