Maine State Police are looking for a man from Lee who is wanted on several outstanding warrants.

Who Are Police Looking For?

David Michaud, 42, is also known as ‘Moose.’ Officials say he’s wanted in both Hancock and Penobscot Counties and has multiple warrants for his arrest. A post on the Maine State Police Facebook page shows this picture of Michaud, but also says it’s believed he’s lost weight and has cut his hair since the picture was taken.

Does Michaud Have a Criminal History?

In 2007, David Michaud was sentenced to 18 years in prison, with three years suspended, for a scary assault in Enfield. He was one of three people found guilty of breaking into the couple's trailer in search of cash and drugs. The couple was assaulted with a weapon that officials said looked like a shortened bat with short spikes embedded in one end of it, like a medieval weapon. Seacoast Online reports the man suffered puncture wounds to the base of his skull while the woman had wounds to an arm. Daniel McComb of Lincoln and Scott Lord of Enfield also served time for the same assault case.

What Do We Do If We See Him?

State Police caution residents not to approach Michaud, if they see him. Instead, anyone with information about his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Maine State Police. Report the sighting to the Bangor Regional Communications Center at 207-973-3700, option 9, and ask for Trooper Ramp.
