Congresswoman Chellie Pingree recently shared a photo on her socials of herself standing between two Maine Celtics players.
She joked that it’s not every day you end up sharing a flight with a pro basketball team, explaining that the Celtics were headed to D.C. to take on the Capital City Go-Go, and added that if Congress wraps up its work in time, she might even catch the game.

Pingree adds that if you ever get the chance to see the Maine Celtics play at the Portland Expo, it’s a great time.
She calls it ‘very family friendly’ and says it feels like watching NBA-caliber talent in a high school gym. She even jokes that their mascot is a green lobster, adding that it’s just one more reason to love Maine.
