Body of an Augusta Man Wanted by Police is Found in the River
Augusta Police say the body of a man wanted for domestic violence charges has been found in the Kennebec River.
The Deceased Has Been the Subject of a Manhunt Since Friday
Justin Larrabee, 40, of Augusta has been the subject of a search since July 5th, after police responded to the area of 480 Riverside Drive for a report of a domestic assault. Officials said that Larrabee had allegedly threatened his parents with a gun and then fled the scene. He's been listed as armed and dangerous since that time, with the Augusta Police asking for the public's help locating him.
His Body Was Found in the Kennebec River on Tuesday
On Monday, July 8th, Augusta Police received a report of a possible body in the river at approximately 11:30 at night. Officers responded to the base of the Route 3, Cushnoc Crossing Bridge and confirmed that an unidentified human body was at the location. Once the person was recovered, officials were able to positively identify the male as Justin M. Larrabee, 40, of Augusta.

Larrabee Was 1 of 2 Suspects Listed as Armed and Dangerous Last Week
Larrabee was one of two men listed last week as armed and dangerous, who were wanted for separate crimes. The other, Jacob McGurn, turned himself over to authorities in Oxford County on Monday. McGurn was wanted in connection with a pair of altercations, at least one of which allegedly involved gunfire.
