Even though they have been around for years, drive-in laser light shows really gained popularity during the pandemic.

These visually breathtaking entertainment events allowed us to get together while still social distancing.

These shows feature elaborate laser demonstrations running in sync with an epic soundtrack.  Not only do the lasers pierce the darkness, but they also draw animated pictures in the sky.

These events are really visually stunning!

Of course, like many other things from the pandemic era (buying everything on Amazon and working remotely, for example), they were determined to be too cool to ditch when life returned to normal.

If you are a fan of laser light shows, you are going to be excited to hear that Clinton, Maine, will be hosting another weekend of laser shows this August.

The Facebook page describes the event as:

Witness the night sky transform with high-powered lasers, painting a dazzling array of colors and patterns. Each show combines the magic of light and music, ensuring an immersive experience that captivates your senses.

While this video is not exactly what you'll see at these shows, it gives you a pretty good idea of what to expect:

According to a post on the Laser Light Show USA Tour Facebook page, the event will return to the Clinton Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday, August 23-24.

This summer's event will be a double-feature.  The pop laser show, which features top 40 hits from the '70s through today, will start at 7:30 PM on Friday and Saturday.  Following a short intermission, the classic rock show will start at 9 PM.  The classic rock show will feature some of the biggest rock hits of the '70s and '80s.

For the affordable price of $39 per vehicle, you can check out both shows.  Once you are parked, you can either stay with your vehicle or find a spot to sit in the infield.

A high-power sound system will provide the music for those sitting in the infield.  If you choose to sit in your vehicle, you'll be able to hear the soundtrack by tuning your radio to a low-power FM radio station.
