For those who love outdoor activities, Maine is a paradise.

We have amazing places to fish or hunt, great camping spots, and some of the best ATV trails in New England.

There really is nothing like bombing down a winding trail, unsure of what you’ll find around the next bend.

According to a trail atlas sold by the Untamed Mainer, there are over 6,000 miles of ATV/UTV trails snaking their way through Maine’s wilderness.  The vast network of trails provides riders with a lot of options.  The trail system makes it easy to plan a simple day trip or an epic multi-day adventure.

Looking for something a little more unique?  Why not take a nighttime glow ride?

Maine’s Summer Glow Ride

The Central Maine ATV Club will be hosting a Summer Glow Ride on Saturday, August 17.

According to a Facebook event post, registration will begin at 5 p.m., and a parade of lights through downtown Waterville will start at 7 p.m.

Following the parade at about 8:30 p.m., riders will take to the trails for a ride from Waterville to Fairfield and back.

Check out a map of the route HERE.

Of course, part of the fun will be decorating and lighting your ATV.  Toss on some glow sticks or go wild with some LED light bars.  It’s up to you.

The cost of the event is $20 per machine, and it is a fundraiser for the Fairfield Interfaith Food Pantry.
