It’s Like Reverse Trick-Or-Treating; Check Out Penobscot Theatre’s 2nd Annual Drive-Boo
I have found, through the years, that taking the kids out for Halloween events, prior to Halloween, to do a trial run with their costumes pieces, is always a very helpful dress rehearsal for the "actual day of" activities.
So it's fitting that the weekend before Halloween, one local theater is hosting a Halloween event that's super low-stress. It's a way to work out all the kinks and have some Halloween-themed fun!
For those who want to take their costumes for a trial run, or who are simply looking for a Covid-safe alternative to going door-to-door, trick-or-treating this year, Penobscot Theatre has an event you might want to check out.
It's the 2nd Annual Drive-BOO and it will be happening Saturday, October 23rd from 1-4 PM.
"The Drive-BOO will take place outside the Bangor Opera House. Cars will be directed to pull up in front of the marquee where costumed Staff will deliver bagged candy to all members inside the vehicle. Dress up your car to enter our Car Costume Contest! The winner will be announced on social media & win tickets to Miracle on 34th St: A Live Musical Radio Play."
Let me get this straight; the kids and I can still get dressed up, but don't have to deal with whatever Mother Nature throws our way, weather-wise, that night? We can stay cozy and safe from both motorists AND Covid, in the comfort of our car, and they will bring the candy right to us? All we have to do is dress up, decorate our car and then drive by?
I can handle this.
