David Geffen’s Boat Spotted Off MDI

The super-yacht of media billionaire David Geffen was seen stopping in Portland this month, and apparently has taken a cruise to Frenchman Bay, where it has spent several days causing a lot of speculation over "Whose boat is that?"

The 453-foot Rising Sun made an impressive sight at anchor in Bar Harbor, but nobody has reported spotting the 69-year-old Geffen around MDI. Geffen is a resident of Malibu, Calif., and he ranks number 184 on Forbes list of the world's billionaires  with a reported worth of $5.5-billion dollars.

He founded Asylum Records, Geffen Records and, with Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg, started Dream Works Entertainment. One of his first jobs was in a company mail room.
