A 10-year-old elementary school student is facing a felony charge after allegedly calling in a bomb threat.

Regional School Unit 9 Superintendent Tina Meserve told WABI-TV that first responders got a call from someone, at around 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon, saying that there was a bomb on one of the buses in the Farmington-based school district. Administrators immediately canceled all after-school activities and evacuated all the buildings and buses.

Police determined that the call was hoax and their investigation led them to the 10-year-old student. The child was arrested on a Felony Terrorizing charge and will be referred to a juvenile corrections officer.

The student's name and sex have not been released. School resumed in RSU 9 this morning.
