A custodian at Bonny Eagle High School in Standish is accused of recording video of female students while they were in the bathroom.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says they began their investigation into 28-year-old Kyle Hamilton after two female students reported to their parents that it appeared someone was taking video of them while they changed their clothes in the bathroom. They said they'd been looking at a damaged ceiling tile when they noticed what appeared to be a cellphone.

WABI-TV reports the girls did a little investigation of their own before telling their parents about the incident. Their parents then told the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, who determined that a custodian at the school had hidden inside the ceiling to allegedly film the two girls as they changed clothes after athletic activities. 28-year-old Kyle Hamilton of Biddeford was charged with a misdemeanor count of invasion of privacy, as a result of that investigation, and was dismissed from his job as custodian for MSAD 6.

Officials with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office commended the girls on their awareness of the situation and willingness to report it to their parents, school administrators, and law enforcement.
