The crash was reported shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday and the Hancock County Sheriff's Deputies arrived on the scene on Route 3 to discover a Jeep and a broken utility pole, but no driver.

Dover-Foxcroft Police Chief Dennis Dyer says 3 men have been hospitalized as the result of an early morning fight.

It's Springtime in Maine, and with that comes the potential for rivers and streams to spill over their banks. The National Weather service has issued flood watches for several communities, including a danger of the Penobscot overflowing in Eddington.
Fire Crews Battle Mobile Home Fire
Few details are yet available from the scene but fire fighters from several Penobscot County communities have been called out to the scene of a structure fire in Chester.
The fire was reported to Penobscot County Regional Dispatch shortly after 10 this morning.
Admitted Drug Addiction Costs Corinth Man
Earl Gary III of Corinth told the courts he robbed the bank because he needed money to feed his drug addiction.
After he entered guilty pleas yesterday in court, Gary was sentenced to serve six months of a five-year prison sentence and he'll face a few years of probation after that.
