Add this Odd Art Garden Trail and Historic Site to Your Summer To-Do List [PHOTOS]

Scrap metal sculptures, a usable tree house, and some very unique art offer more than enough to see at this perfect picnic spot!

This historic site was once a gathering and trading hub for the Native Americans and French Traders and now lies along the boarder of Acadia National Park. This historic site has now become a place for art and beauty. Annual flowers bloom across the large property and the mile-or-so of trails.

The Hulls Cove Sculpture Garden Portion began in 1985 and has only grown since! Many of the sculptures and art installments seen along the trails and among the flowers are done by a number of Maine artists but some pieces have been added by anonymous visitors over the last 20+ years.

At the beginning of the trail you are greeted by a large tree branch owl and a tree house for the kids! The kids will also love the play area with swings! Don't forget to bring a lunch as there are many picturesque picnic spots too!

The trails are open to the public from May to November and all are invited. The sculpture gardens are associated with nearby Davistown Museum in Liberty. The museum is most well known for its displays of interesting art and prison shank collection.
