Three men from Georgia are facing charges for allegedly kidnapping a Bangor man in a robbery attempt.

A Bangor man told police on Friday that he had been picked up in Brewer by three men from Georgia. They drove him to a bank in Bangor where he says they forced him to make a fraudulent bank transaction. After the men released him, the victim was able to give police a vehicle description with an accurate registration number.

Bangor Police officers were able to locate the vehicle and stopped it on I-395 in Bangor at around 3 p.m. Friday. As a result of the investigation, three people have been arrested and charged with kidnapping, a class B felony; 20-year-old Isaiah Roberts of Villa Rica, 39-year-old Jeral Blackmon of Atlanta, and 44-year-old Anthony Foster of Decatur.

All three were taken to the Penobscot County Jail and are expected to be arraigned on Monday.
