Zagat Visits Maine To Explore Our Love Of Whoopie Pies [VIDEO]

Zagat has been reviewing great restaurants, and trends in food, all over the country for years. They have a YouTube channel that features their visits to different parts of the United States, to highlight some of the delicacies that are unique to a certain part of America.

We are known most famously for lobster of course, but no trip to Maine is complete without sampling our favorite desert, the whoopie pie! It's so popular that the Z takes a trip every June to check out the Whoopie Pie Festival, held in Dover Foxcroft. We even have a business right here in Bangor, called the Whoopie Pie Cafe, that serves up this treat in tons of different flavors.

Zagat paid a visit to Maine to find out why this "upside down cupcake" is so beloved. They hit the legendary Moody's Diner in Waldoboro, and Two Fat Cats Bakery in Portland, to see for themselves.
