April 29 - May 5: See how P!nk, Fall Out Boy, Notorious B.I.G., Wiz Khalifa, Black Eyed Peas, Destiny's Child and Paula Abdul marked this week in history for pop music from the past 30 years.

1992 - Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul and Emilio Estevez start their wedded bliss.  The union lasts 2 years.

1997 - Notorious B.I.G.

The rapper, who passed almost two months earlier, hits #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with 'Hypnotize' and stays there for three weeks.  The song spends a total 20 weeks on the charts.

2001 - Destiny's Child

The girl group releases their third album Survivor which would go on to add songs like 'Survivor', 'Bootylicious' and 'Independent Woman' to the world of pop.

2003 - Fall Out Boy

The band releases their album From Under the Cork Tree which includes their breakthrough hit "Sugar We're Going Down Swinging'.  Here's the band as they graced the Bangor Waterfront with that smash hit in 2015.

2010 - Black Eyed Peas

The group now holds the title for best selling digital single with their hit 'I Gotta A Feeling'.

2013 - P!nk

The singer, with singer Nate Ruess from the band FUN, hits number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Just Give Me A Reason'.

 

2015 - Wiz Khalifa

The rapper is #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with his song 'See You Again', featuring Charlie Puth.
