  • 10 Years Together

    Submitted by Amanda Coleman

We deserve this prize because we found each other at a time when neither of us was really looking. We deserve it because after 10 years and 4 kids, nights out are really special- even if it is just going shopping. We deserve it because you never know what tomorrow brings. We deserve this prize because we aren't perfect. We deserve it because although we haven't had forced partings like military couples, we aren't ill or suffering like some couples, we aren't living in conditions where we won't be able to do something otherwise, but we WILL appreciate it, relish the time spent together, and fall in love all over again.

  • Video Valentine

    Submitted by Lauren Cox

I think my Valentine (my hubby) and I deserve this prize because my husband; Derrick made this for me with our son (shown when he was 2...now he's almost 7). He made this by taking photos of himself (over a 4 day span) with his computer, putting them all together and syncing it to music; our song Jason Mraz' "I'm Yours". Derrick and I met in high school 11 years ago, got married 7 years ago and have 2 boys.

Derrick is the hardest working person I know. Not only is he a full time Grad student at UMaine in the Mathematics Department but he also teaches 3 Calculus 2 classes, tutors on the side, works for the math department's tutor center, is in the Air Force as well as working on Breast Cancer Research with the University of Maine. Derrick made me this video a few years ago and I still watch it weekly. It still makes me cry and it is still by far my favorite gift he's EVER given me! Whenever our song comes on the radio I always do his video dance. LOL. He's incredible. He works so many jobs and I work 2 jobs so we barely see each other. It would be nice to win and have a special night together without work, kids or distractions!

    Pick us! PLEASE! :)

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  • Mr. and Mrs. Claus

He is the sweetest man alive. He proposed to me on Dec 7, 2013 when we were dressed up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus. I will share the video below. He is the most unselfish person I know. He's a very hard worker and loves to help others. I just love him so incredibly much!!

Roses are red and not so cheap, this package of free stuff would be super sweet. Violets are blue and so is my mood, because my girl and I need some good food. I love her so much its not even funny this Valentine's Day I wanna look like I made some money. Times are hard I think we all know, so throw me a bone and maybe some dough.. I mean look how cute we are its not even fair.. If we won this contest it would be so hard not to share..

  • First Valentine's Together

    Submitted by Crystal Thomes

We met at UMaine, she was a senior and I was a freshman. I knew it was love at first site, but I didn't have the guts to say anything. We became friends but then she graduated and went back home to Maryland. I thought my chance with her was gone, yet we stayed friends and became even closer. Finally one of my friends dared me to tell her how I felt. Her response was shocking; she had thought I had friend zoned her, a similar feeling that I shared. Soon after that we began an awkward transition into a relationship. Unfortunately, she was still in Maryland and I was still going to school in Maine. It took us almost a full year to finally be together, but here we are happy as can be. I wouldn't trade her for the world. We recently had our first Christmas physically together and this will be our first physical Valentines together. I really want it to be special and this prize package would certainly make it a valentines that we wouldn't soon forget. Thank you for your consideration! P.S. the dog's name is patch, I am on the right and Valerie is on the left.
