State Police say a woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Hampden.

Sonya Dupray, 38, is charged with attempted murder for an incident Friday night in a Main Road North apartment. The rental units are attached to a detox center, but police say the apartments are not part of the facility.

The name of the victim has not been released but police say he's a 53-year-old man. He suffered extensive injuries to his throat and is said to be in stable condition. There's no word on whether Dupray and the victim are related or the circumstances leading up to the attack. WABI-TV says police were called by a neighbor who heard the man yelling for help.

We'll update this story as more details become available.
