Twaz a great year in my Beat Lab!

As 2014 comes to a close, I'm sure you're dying to know what I've been jamming out to in my studio at the Wolfe Den. The Beat Lab was crankin' some country, rock n' roll and Ed Sheeran.

Skrillex once again impressed me with his 'Recess' album. In a time where electronic music is beginning to sound more and more similar, Skrillex drops a bomb of an album like this! Once again the king of whomp finds new ways to reinvent his sound, while maintaining the intensity we expect from the producer. In addition, Skrillex explores EDM sub-genres incorporating tech-house, trap and trance house into his overall dub-step album. A monster track, and first single off the album is above, titled 'All is Fair in Love and Brostep.'

Eric Church rocked my soul with his 'The Outsiders' album. The bad boy of country music perfectly blends rock n' roll and country into his signature sound. He enlisted help from Lzzy Hale of the rock group Halestorm for a killer track you can hear above.

I loveeeeeee Pink Floyd so of course their latest album made my list. The mostly instrumental album pays tribute to the Floyd's late keyboard player Richard Wright, who passed away in 2008. The album is constructed around Wright's session recording's for the 1994 Division Bell album. The only song with vocals on the album is above, entitled 'Louder Than Words.' The beautiful song is written and sang by David Gilmore. His wife Polly also co-wrote the tune.
