Grab your wife and carry her all over Sunday River. The annual Wife Carrying Championships are set for October 10th. If you've been practicing by trying to haul your wife out of Wal-Mart over your shoulder, you might wanna step up your routine. The 278-yard course features hurdles, sand traps, and a mud pit.

The event at this point has reached the maximum participants. Just as fun is watching the husband/wife teams compete.

The winner takes home the wife’s weight in beer, and five times her weight in cash.
