This is a tough one! So many great choices

November 3rd is National Sandwich Day all across the USA. The sandwich is the namesake of John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, following the claim that he invented the first-ever sandwich. Either way, when you get a good one, it doesn't matter where it originated.

One of the great things about living in the Bangor area, is the abundance of places to grab some fantastic local food, and for me personally, I am always looking to discover something new, so with that in mind, National Sandwich Day seems like the perfect opportunity to find out what you think is the best of the best.

My favorite thing to do, is try the same type of sandwich at different locations, and see what is different about the way each business makes it. I am always on the hunt to try any place that has a meatball sub. Some of love, others, not so much.

Sandwiches come in many different varieties, and there are a ton to choose from around here. We left the Subways and other corporate chains off our list, but if that is your thing, by all means, submit it in the "Other" category.
