When Particles Collide To Play West Market Square This Thursday Night [VIDEO]

The local band that won "best new artist" at the Boston Music Awards in December of 2014 will play as part of the FREE the Cool Sounds Summer Concert Series!

When Particles Collide, a Bangor based rock duo featuring Sasha Alcott on guitar and vocals, and Chris Viner on the drums, will take the stage at West Market Square beginning at 6PM! "Speed Green Day-esque drumming, classic Motown grooves, and Queens of the Stone Age-style riffs" will be coming at you, according to a press release.

The band formed back in 2010 and have gotten a lot done since then, touring many miles and coming up with great music like their latest release "This Town."  A song that pays "homage to the city and its residents who lost two cherished members in August 2014" according to Emily Burnham of the Bangor Daily News.

The FREE Cool Sounds Summer Concert begins at 6 and runs until 8 right there in West Market Square! As an added bonus, the Fresh Air Market runs between 5 and 8PM! According to a City of Bangor press release, “Up to 20 vendors are expected weekly at the Fresh Air Market. Available items include artwork, specialty foods, jewelry, clothing and much more. Food vendors will also be on site.”The event will happens every Thursday until August 20th, rain or shine! There's only one more show left after this Thursday, and that will feature Tomato Tomato with Goldenoak!
