What Are Maine’s Facebook Users Most Thankful For?

In the weeks preceding Thanksgiving, Facebook asked its users what they're thankful for. What did folks from Maine say?

That they were thankful for "living near the beach."  Alright.  Hey, it came from Facebook, it must be true right?

We share the "living near the beach" thing with Florida and New Jersey.

Facebook users in states like New Mexico, Arizona and Texas are thankful for the rain.  That kind of makes sense.

Then, there's Louisiana, where people there are thankful for rainbows.  In Washington state "the ability to love" is important and then in Oregon "yoga" is pretty hip and relaxing.

How did Facebook come up with their findings?  They searched everyone's "status updates" for words like "grateful" and "thankful."

Facebook not only looked at what people were the most thankful for, but what overall topics were the most popular.

The most important things that Americans are thankful for are friends, family, health and jobs.
