Maine's world famous master of horror has a long history of dropping Maine places and names into his work. Stephen King has famously set his novels in Maine, both in real and fictional towns, and he's also got a penchant for name dropping local people, radio stations, and places like stores and restaurants too.

Pet Sematary was set at UMaine and the surrounding towns, It was set in Derry (a fictional version of Bangor), and The Mist was set in the Bridgton area and wraps up in Portland... just to name a few.

Who could Stephen name next? Gotta keep on reading! Elevation is out now.
