There have been rumors for years of a large cat that lives on King's Mountain in Orrington. Now, a local resident has captured a picture of one in that area! But the question is, what kind of cat is it? Tell us what you think!

Living in Orrington, we see a lot of wildlife. I can't tell you how often I see deer on my way into work, early in the morning. And the other day, I drove off our private road and there was a large porcupine walking down the side of the road. We'll get the occasional bear in the spring. And Jim and I had a neighbor's rooster wander into our yard last summer!

But the King's Mountain 'Lion' has always been the stuff of legend. Some people say they've seen it, while others tell them they're nuts. But an Orrington resident caught the above picture of a cat of some kind in her yard this week, proving that there is, indeed, some sort of feline that isn't your average house cat. This one was spotted in the area of Center Drive, but not actually up on the mountain.

My question is this: what kind of cat is that? There's been a lot of discussion on Facebook, so now I want your opinion. Let us know your best guess about the King's Mountain cat!
