Hey seafood lovers, bad news! The Weathervane Restaurant in Brewer will soon be closing for good.

In a statement released today, CEO Jeremy Granger said, "My family and I are sorry to have to make this difficult decision and truly appreciate the hard work provided by our staffs and thank each of them for their dedication."

Two other locations in Maine will also close, both in Waterville and South Portland, due to "economic conditions" according to the company's statement.  The seasonal Weathervane in Belfast will remain open.

The restaurants known for their fried seafood and lobster dinners are a favorite of many.  No word yet on the exact closing date.
