Carly Rae Jepsen took the stage on 'The Late Show With David Letterman' on Thursday night (Oct. 25) to perform her latest single, 'This Kiss.' As predicted, she looked adorable and coquettish. How was the performance, though?

Clad in an artfully mismatched get up of a bedazzled mini skirt, leopard print bustier, black jacket with embellished sleeves and red and leopard sparkly sneaker-Oxford hybrids, Jepsen seemed a little uncomfortable on stage. She tended to hide behind her mic stand, clinging to it until the first chorus kicked in, but never straying too far when dancing around it. (More experienced performers often move the mic stand behind them to ensure that nothing obstructs an audience's view of the artist.)

The song was co-written by Jepsen and produced by LMFAO’s Redfoo and artist Matthew Koma, who happens to be Jepsen's boyfriend (and perhaps her muse!). The track's being pushed harder than ever now that it's appearing in the Victoria Justice film 'Fun Size.'

Jepsen's vocals were on point, if her stage presence was a little bit lacking. The performance lacked the enthusiastic, pogo-style jumping inspired by her usual renditions of megahit 'Call Me Maybe' and its followup 'Good Time.' That's a little surprising considering Jepsen has said more than once that 'This Kiss' is her favorite song off of her debut, 'Kiss,' but hey -- live television is scary! Maybe with some lessons from Justin Bieber she'll learn the ropes and captivate us like we know she can.
