WATCH Actress From Orono Maine Debut On Supergirl

Nicole Maines, an actress from Orono, made her debut on Supergirl last night.

Watch as new employee Nia Nal, portrayed by Maines, meets her new boss Kara Danvers in the elevator on his very first day of employment. Of course anyone who follows Supergirl knows that Danvers is really the girl of steel. Davers/Supergirl is played by actress Melissa Benoist.

As the season moves along eventually Nal will become Dream Girl, television's first transgender super hero.

Maines made national headlines while attending Orono High School when officials there refused to let the student who was transforming from a male to a female, use the girls bathroom.

She now joins other famous actresses from Maine.
