It was a cloudy but truly beautiful day at the top of the Thomas Hill Standpipe on Wednesday, so I tried out my new camera and captured some images.

I'm a sucker for sky-scapes, so the dramatic clouds, breaks of sun, and rain in the distance made for some beautiful images. You couldn't quite see Mt Katahdin, but the outline was visible in the distance. Unfortunately, I haven't invested in a lens that would travel that far!

Thanks to everyone who came out. I hope you had as much fun as I did! Check out the video, especially if you've never seen the view from the top of the Standpipe. And be sure to watch it til the end, so you can see the unexpected visitor who didn't seem to be having any fun at all.
