Veazie Police are asking for the public's help locating a 24-year-old woman who's been reported missing by her sisters. Alexis Merritt's family says she will often be out of touch for a day or two, but never for over a week.

According to the BDN, Merritt, who also goes by the name Gloria Gardner, was diagnosed with a mild mental disability as a child. She's considered a transient and has been couch surfing recently. Police began searching for Merritt on June 2nd, as a well-being check, but that's since been changed to a missing person report.

She's 5'7" tall, weighs about 160 pounds and has brown eyes. Just recently, she's been wearing her hair short and it's brown and blonde. The picture below was posted by Merritt's sister on Facebook.

Anyone with any information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Veazie Police at 947-2358.
