Out with old, in with the snazzy.

Announced yesterday, UMaine's Morse Stadium will be getting a new high definition scoreboard. It comes as a $800,000 donation from UMaine benefactors Phillip and Susan Morse. The donation is also helping support the baseball program. The new scoreboard will be installed next year.

The scoreboard is 20 feet tall by 30 feet wide and includes a high definition video display as well as instant replay. The university says the scoreboard will provide more fan interaction. The scoreboard will feature live video shots of fans as well as fan tweets and texts.

The scoreboard will be installed by next years first football game.
