Two Men Arrested On Heroin, Cocaine Charges In Lewiston

Two men have been arrested on heroin and cocaine charges following a pair of suspected drug overdose deaths in Androscoggin County.

The MDEA on Tuesday said agents have arrested 30-year-old Devin Webbert of Bronx, New York and 34-year-old Vincent Steed of Lewiston.

Investigations into the two suspected drug overdose deaths led drug agents to an apartment on Lincoln St. in Lewiston Monday.

Drug agents say more than 50 packets of heroin, 70 bags of crack cocaine and more than $1,500 in cash were removed from the apartment.

Steed and Webbert, who were both staying at the apartment, were arrested without incident.

The two suspects were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail. Bail was set at $50,000 each.
