A man and a teenager are facing charges for allegedly stealing 11 guns from a home. One of the guns has been located and police are working to find the others.

Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland said in a press release that the thefts happened earlier this month at a home on the Salem Road in Salem Township, near Kingfield. The homeowner told police that a total of 11 rifles and handguns were stolen.

Arrested this week was David Ireland, age 53 of Corinna, and a 17-year-old male whose identity is not being released. Last week, Newport police got a tip that Ireland had pawned one of the stolen guns at a Newport pawn shop. The gun was turned over to State Police who then searched Ireland's home. However, none of the guns were found to be in his possession.

Ireland is charged with burglary, theft, and furnishing a prescription drug. The teenager is charged with burglary and theft. Anyone with information on the missing firearms is asked to contact the State Police in Augusta at 624-7076.
