One of the three people featured in the movie about Bangor's Troop Greeters has died. Joan Gaudet was 81.

It was reported today on the Facebook page for 'The Way We Get By' that Gaudet had passed. The movie, directed by Joan's son, Aron Gaudet and produced by Gita Pullapilly, told the story of three senior citizens who volunteered as Troop Greeters at Bangor International airport. The trio discussed their lives and what it meant to them to thank the troops as they passed through Bangor. Aron Gaudet said he made the movie after learning that his mother, who rarely left the house prior to her involvement with the Troop Greeters, was traveling to BIA on a regular basis to welcome soldiers back to the United States.

She spread a lot of joy and love while she was on Earth. I'm sure there's a special place in Heaven for Joan Gaudet. May she rest in peace.
