A 22-year-old Topsham man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Thanksgiving Day.

The Portland Press Herald reports the accident happened early Thursday morning on the Foreside Road, which is where the victim lived. Police say it appears the pickup truck driven by Nicholas Oram failed to negotiate a curve, veered off the road, and struck some trees just after midnight. Speed is believed to have been a factor in the accident. Oram was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident is being investigated by the Topsham and Brunswick Police Departments.
