Maine is always associated with lobster and seafood in general, so it is almost shocking there are barely any seafood restaurants in Bangor! However, there are a bunch of places to grab a great lobster roll!

Here is what Yelp.com came up with for the top 10 places to get seafood in Bangor (even though some are in Brewer... close enough).

    McLaughlin Seafood

I'm a sucker for anything lobster. The cute layout of this seafood spot is hard to pass. There are tables and seats, picnic -style, set up right by the parking area. You order at the window and they serve you your food when it's ready.

I've had the crab roll, lobster meal and also the fried mushrooms. Everything was quite good, service was friendly. I especially liked the fried mushrooms, it came with a buttermilk ranch dip, delicious.

    The Fiddlehead Restaurant

The wife really wanted the papusas and our server recommended them, so that was easy. She also took the chèvre appetizer which was her highlight of the night. As appetizer, I went light with the smoke scallop salad, but then I was torn on the main. Our server's other recommendation was the lobster grilled cheese, but the pork belly was calling my name. Ultimately, I told her to decide between the 2 and surprise me. I was pretty confident that I was getting a good dish either way based on the descriptions. In the end, the pork belly, or should I say a huge piece of pork belly came out. The pork belly was awesome and cooked to perfection. I did see the lobster grilled cheese at another table and I can assure you that it looked great too.- Andre B. Charlotte NC

    Eagles Nest Restaurant

Hands down, this is where you may have the best lobster roll of your life. It's that good. The meal comes with fries, coleslaw, and a pickle. These guys do it RIGHT. I wish I had a place like this in Mass.- Matt D, Waltham MA

    Nicky's Crusin' Diner

this little spot really doesn't look like much from the outside, but let me tell you, it's truly a diamond in the rough. the service was great, the restaurant was nicely decorated with a traditional dinner theme, and my food was soo delicious.

I had the lobster roll/seafood soup combo.  the seafood soup had to be the best I've ever tasted.  it had lobster, shrimp, and scallops.  the lobster roll was it's regular small size but very tasty. combo was $19.99 and worth every penny.- Kennith N, Lumberton NJ

    McLaughlin's at the Marina

Absolutely fantastic.    Do not miss this place if you are in Bangor.    Delicious fresh seafood as to be expected.    Generous portions.   Friendly and attentive staff.    The service is fantastic and the restaurant is well managed.

In addition to the lobster, I particularly loved the steamed mussels and seafood chowder.   Also the raspberry crumble pie.

Nice waterfront atmosphere with outdoor lounge area with fire pit.    Live entertainment on some nights.- Bobby N, Plano TX

    Geaghan's Pub

Been going there regularly for years. The food is very good, the staff is Excellent, the prices very favorable. One of those "where everybody knows your name" places, nicely decorated with a fusion of railroad stuff and Irish Memorabilia. A minor lack of imagination or adventure  is typified by the fact that the vegetable of the day on Friday is always corn. Ahhh, a big ole Guinness after a long work week....

    Kobe Ninja House Japanese Grill

Beef sticks appetizer was great. Their hibachi fried rice, veggies and sauces are wonderful!. Ordered lobster and medium rare rib-eye. Rib-eye was so good, so tender, nicely seasoned and fresh. Lobster, hmmm, when it comes to ''signore aragosta'', the lobsterin-picky hormone gets sky high. Anyways, it was good. The rockstar of the meal is the yum yum yellow dipping sauce. Anything would taste great with this sauce! You probably need at least 2 of it.- Ahmad A, Fort Kent ME

    11 Central

There isn't a bad item on the menu, whatever you order, you will love. That being said, these are the items that keep me coming back:
-Lobster in a Puff Pastry: do you like lobster? do you like puff pastry? Well, then you'll love this. It's a very basic dish, but satisfies the lobster craving with its large chunks of lobster if you're wanting to branch out for dinner.-Lobster Artichoke Pizza: Maine lobster claw meat and artichoke hearts with alfredo sauce. Delicious!! The pizzas are made with local sauces and homemade dough and the love that goes into crafting these shines through in their taste.- Catherine A, Bangor ME

    High Tide Restaurant and Bar

1st time visit, will definitely go back. 5 of us enjoyed a broad sampling from a fresh, nicely steamed lobster to tasty red pepper pasta, yummy Cajun haddock as well as nice spinach and crab dip and attractive house salads. (Salads only $2 add-on!) Thought the margherita pizza was a little oily, the space a little sparse but a really good meal, all in all and the chocolate caramel torte, special dessert, was great! Great service, great setting!- Barbara S, York PA
