Three people face charges after a traffic stop on the Bennoch Road in Old Town led to the discovery of heroin in the vehicle.

The driver, Christopher Raye, 42, of Bangor was charged with possession of heroin and trafficking in prison contraband. Passenger James Hartin, 29, of Lagrange was charged with drug trafficking, according to a news release from the Old Town Police Department.

The investigation continued at a residence on Bennoch Road and Brandon Hanson, 28, of Bangor was charged with violation of conditions of release.

Old Town police were assisted by the Orono Police department during the incident.
