The arrests followed a joint investigation between the Veazie Police Department and the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office. The investigation followed five home invasion robberies in Veazie and four in Orrington, all during the week of April 11th. The robbers would walk into homes in which the doors were left unlocked and steal what they could lay their hands on, while the homeowners slept in the next room.

A search warrant was executed at the home of William Cushman, 22 of Highland Avenue in Brewer. The investigation also led investigators to Randy Cressey, 23, and Courtney Braley, 18, both of Bangor.

One of the items recovered in the investigation is a firearm stolen from a home in Veazie. Penobscot County Chief Deputy Troy Morton says more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Townsquare Media has learned through a reliable source that the trio are expected to also be charged with a string of robberies in the 'Little City' section of Bangor.
